Adjusting automatic shifter
I can't put my 89 all the way down into first gear. When I shift into 2nd, it feels like cable will not let shifter move anymore. I got underneath car and I do see that 15 mm bolt on shifter linkage mounted to transmission. I tried adjusting a little but still no luck. Is there an adjustment under console I'm missing? I looked around and didn't see one except the adjustment for the indicator needle. Also, car doesn't start in neutral so something is not adjusted correctly. Thanks

Have you pulled the console shift plate,also look at the linkage at the throttle body at the T.V. cable but not sure that would have anything to do with it.
