Plug and play. No need to set at TDC. Just don't force it and it is impossible to install wrong. Dan
Correct. All of these distributors (first generation or second generation) are keyed such that they cannot be indexed incorrectly with the camshaft, unless you try to force it into place when the alignment is not correct. The keying is implemented differently between the two generations of units, but they are all keyed.
