Ignition system problems
Ive got a 1991 L98 that just died going down the road, i thought fuel pump at first, so i replaced the fuel pump then I replace the fuel relay turned out it wasn't the problem, so I checked and had no spark so I changed the distributor cap, rotor,and ICM and nothing's worked. what's next?

Rule one check for codes verses wasted parts swaps.
A bad CTS can prevent starting.
This leaves fuse,
P.U. coil or ECU.
Check fuse. Test P.U. coil, Scan for codes.

If you don’t have spark, the pick up coil could be bad. They’re not hard to check.
they are sold and serviceable separately from the distributor but the whole thing needs to come apart to swap it out.
most install a reman distributor instead.
