I have a 1993 c4 40th anniversary edition and I need help, the vats is killing me, I’ve done the resistor trick but it never seems to work. And what’s weird is I can put a random amount of resistors on the car and the security light will shut of (sometimes) and then if I mess with the wires then the light will come back on. Can I use a bypass module with the 30-50hz wires or do I absolutely have to pay a large amount of money and get them bypassed through the ecm?
Ignition switch Good point.
Many VATS issues boil down to "worn" out contacts internally. Or the tiny resister leads broken/ shorted.
You could bypass the ignition as a test pull the main orange wire under kickpanel jump both wires with a resister matching your key. Free & simple.
