Wow!
I go away for a few months and they move all the danged furniture around. I guess I knew there was supposed to be a new look to the forum.
I've been away because I spun a bearing in my LT1 in early Nov :mad :mad :mad and have been out on a jobsite racking up 90 hour work weeks to pay for a three-eight-three buildup.
'Got money now, been shopping E-bay for shortblocks. There seem to be quite a few f-body/impala LT1s available fairly cheap. Anybody got any input on whether converting one to splayed 4-bolt is a bad idea?

sorry to hear about the spun bearing... that sucks.
as for convering an Fbody short block to splayed 4 bolt - that is a very good idea. very popular.
I would stick with the fbody shorts, tho... the LT1 in an impala could be as small as 265ci... and you really don't want that...
