Not the same.... But someone here may know if they will interchange.. 84 had a very flat cluster you may also have to change the cover panel as 85 up had an angle for better reading.

Been there,tried that. They will not interchange exactly. The speed sensor is different which will cause your Cruise Control not to work correctly. You will also set a fault code but I do not remember which one.
