Default Offset question for TT2

I have a 93 that I'd like to put American Racing TT2s on. Looks like the only offset they offer close to mine is 46mm when stock calls for 56mm. How much of a problem is this?

10mm is .394 inch, just slightly thicker than 3/8"

OP - you never mentioned 'rim width' without knowing 'rim width' - it's impossible to compare wheels. The 'rim width' of both, what you have now (it could be guessed 9 1/2) and the TT2

WVAR-1 is right. That said, a quick scan of the AR site has be guessing they are indeed 17x9.5, because those are the only ones I see with a 46mm offset. That's not a problem at all with the recommended 275/40/17 tires.

I was looking at the 17 X 9.5 size.
The 10mm difference is only about 3/8".
I'm not sure but I'm thinking it would be inset that 3/8", looking at the car the wheel being inset that amount I don't think it would look right.
Am I correct it would be in and not out?
Has anyone put these on their C4? Any pictures?

Nope, you have it backwards: positive offset is toward the inside. So those wheels will sit 10mm further outside than stock. You have plenty of room in the fenders for that, and it will look fine (possibly better than stock).

Thanks for the info. Took a straight edge to the current wheels looks like the TT2s will be outside the fender. Current tire size at 285 maybe be part of the issue, have to revisit the straight edge and maybe 275s would make it work.

Sitting outside the top of the fender edge? They shouldn't. Do you have a bunch of positive camber back there?
