Good day my peeps wondering if you can help me out, ok here it goes, I took my father's 1984 corvette after he passed away, really nice car, rebuilt 5.7, brand new everything in this car but who ever owned it before my dad had done some not so professional wiring and screwed alot of it up I fixed most of it but now I've went through 3 interior light Daley timers, something is burning it out, I've replaced everything from door switches to fuses I'm at a loss, I have to remove a fuse or I burn out the battery, I have read some good stuff in here so I am confident you guys or ladies can help out a Canadian that has no clue when it comes to the electronics thanks 😀
So the first thing I'd do that helps a lot is swapping every interior light to LED. The current drawn is much less and the timer relay gets quite warm with incandescent. Plus the amount of light they throw out puts the original bulbs to utter shame. Still not decent by today's modern vehicles interior lighting standards, but much improved vs the 1/10 of a lightning bug's power the stock bulbs put out
Once that is done you can put in a smaller fuse, which may or may not sacrifice itself to keep the timer relay from burning up

yes that made alot of sense plus I forgot to mention that I have to pull a certain fuse or my battery dies
I'm having trouble understanding what your problem is. Are your interior lights on all the time, do not turn off by themselves? If so - Is your dimmer switch turned all the way over to "ON" so your interior lights stay lit all the time?
