I was wanting to buy this corvette i found off of facebook he said the last guy did some work too it, the car vin comes back as a hatchback, but it looks like he tried to do a possible convertible conversion? or something along those lines, he had cut into the inner fiberglass body and looks like he welded parts of the car together, if anyone has an idea what he did to to the car and if it’s still worth buying please let me know!!
You're right. Weird. If the vin says hatch, then something has been done, not to mention it just don't look right. However, if he only wants a few bucks, go for it. It should part out for more than that if it's not viable. I'm talking very few bucks.
Just a guess, but it was a convertible that had it's convertible hatch cover fibreglassed into the rear deck, and those holes are from the luggage rack.
