Advice please: Swop ‘84 headlamp assembly with ‘91
She is not a Concours Queen, nor aspires to be one.
$100 for left & right working ‘91 assemblies vs $250 for 1 ‘84 motor is the context … seamless swop or impractical madness? Any and all constructive inputs appreciated.
Thanks
Brad (eager but inexperienced spanner spinner)
I swapped my 84 headlights with mid-90s back in the mid-90s. As I recall it bolted up, no body modifications, you only need to replace the old headlight controller with the newer one, located in the front/left/driver corner of the vehicle. I *LOVE* the sound of the newer headlight motors, and they haven't been touched since I installed them so long ago, very durable. ZERO downsides, its all good.

@dkirk , you’re the man … exactly the feedback I was hoping for on so many levels. @Mishacall thanks you too.
