windshield wiper issue

First-time poster. Random question, I have a '96 LT4 with a windshield wiper issue. I'm am not great with electronics, but when I turn the wipers on, they won't turn off. I have to shut the car off for the wipers to stop working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a bad switch possibly

Do you have the FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your car? If you do see the FSM 8E Section for wiper diagnostics. Park switch in motor is very likely.

I think I might have the FSM. I recently bought the car and it came with several manuals. I will let you know what I find out. Thanks for the direction.

Funny, you just reminded me I have this problem too in my 96...I rarely drive my car in the rain so I forgot about it.

I seem to recall the problem might be with the wiper switch from past post when people mentioned it.
