Remove Licence plate cover

Any one know the size of the oem torx screw holding the front plate cover. Seems mine are to big

I seem to remember they just small screws when I pulled mine to high light the corvette writing I don't remember they were special screws.

I believe the two screws on the bottom are Torx T15

Does anyone know how to actually remove the cover? Our 93 had a clear cover on it (that was ugly) and I finally found and bought the correct color one from someone on the forum here (bright aqua metallic), but I cannot figure out how to get to the screws. Is there some kind of trick to it?
