Is it possible to improve the performance of CFI? Do any aftermarket companies make parts for it, such as throttle bodies and intake manifolds? Thank you
Re: Modifying Cross Fire Injection (Dominic Sorresso)
Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my naive questions -- I should know that anything associated with small block Chevies has been modified in some way.
Welcome to the Corvette Forum........I have an '84 also......as everyone has sais look to both this forum and the CrossFire forum for all your needs/questions.....
Good Luck....

Not everyone, oh Lord of the Sith. My manifold is the stock Xfire that's been port-matched and Extrude Hone'd. Also using a lidspacer and injector spacers. :chevy :hurray:
Re: Modifying Cross Fire Injection (Dominic Sorresso)
As an 84 owner myself, I've got the TPI hardware in my living room as we speak! I figure unless you want to remain (or look) stock, then why settle for an xram which still suffers from the ails of CFI! Might as well pull out everything and get the tuned port setup running: it will make your LT-1 conversion even easier!
I am in the process of installing a ZZ4 with an SY-1 Edlebrock intake modified to fit the cross fire set up in my 84. Looking forward to posting some dyno numbers when I get it finished. Click on this link for more info on modifying throttle bodies and the SY-1 intake. http://www.alltel.net/~plett/Crossfire.htm Dan made the top plate to modify my intake to accept the cross fire set up.
I am excited to hear what results you get. Will you have benchmark numbers for before/after comparison? How long till we hear?
BTW, the wheels look great on your car. I can hardly wait to do the brake upgrade and put on my GS style AFS wheels. :seeya
