Many of you may already know this, but for those that don't or are new to Vettes as I am, I ran across my cars build sheet today. As I was poking around under the car to get familiarized with the layout of things, I saw the edge of a rather large piece of paper sticking out from the top of the gas tank. I tried to pull it out easy but it was stuck under the passenger side gastank strap. After removing the strap bolt and lifting it up some, low and behold it was the complete build sheet. It's a nice piece of literature to have. Aside from dust, it is in relatively good shape and completely legible.
If anyone's in search of theirs, hope you find it. Dan

Dan, as a result of your post, today I successfully extricated the build sheet from my new '96 LT1 Coupe. It was filthy dusty and had a couple of small tears, and had a major "crease" from being pinned under the gas tank strap since late '95, but cleaned up nicely and I'm going to have it framed.
Does anyone know why GM places the build sheet over the gas tank? Just seems to me that's a dumb place to put it in my opinion.
25 + years after the last C4 rolled out the door at BGR is a bit late to dispute the relevance of the one at the tank or the one stuffed into the front suspension member. Very little chance I'd think of it being 'misplaced'!

Obviously, they didn't put it in the car for the owner.
