Default build sheet question

For those who have ordered build sheets for their cars, what does the date listed in box 6 refer to. The date the car was built is listed in box 10 as August 8, which matches the date listed in the drivers door jamb. The date in box 6 is listed as 85/219 with a time of 9:39. Is the time when the buildsheet came through the computer, or when the car hit the line? Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't receive a reply, I'm sure the people at the NCM will help:

That is probably the Julian date. 219th day of the year (out of 365). It is common for GM to use that system in manufacturing. Maybe that is an order date? That would put it in July sometime. :flag

The julian date of 85/219 works out to be August 7th, 1985.

So that leaves me with August 7 9:39 and a sched. num. date of august 8. So possibly the order came through at 9:39 in the morning of August 7th, with the car actually built on August 8th. Thanks. I never in a million years would have guessed about the Julian calendar. I'll double check with NCM to see if this is right.

 This was going to be my next project, to try and figure out what all the codes in the boxes represented. How many can you decode and where did you get the info. My sheet has nothing in box #6  but #10 has 06-07 so it must be July 6th, as the door post has July on it.

It is the Julian date.

Your door jamb shows more than just the month/year?

No. It says Aug. 85. I had originally thought possibly that 219 meant Feb 19th

:withstupid: I'd love to see the "Secret Decoder Ring" for the build sheet! You would think that there would be a web site out there with this but if so, I haven't found it. Have you?

I have all the RPO's decoded, even the mystery "W82" COTY window sticker, (even though no one seems to have ever seen it on any 85's, only 84's). Its all the info in the little box's that would be interesting to decipher, like # 73, that says "MERRIL 50" or especially #104 that says "FOLDERS A I BZ" since I am trying to figure out what info came in the drivers info pack for Canadian spec 85's.
