Customizing a hood.
I’m in the process of putting an L88 hood from
a C3 onto my 84… here’s how it looks if anyone has interest.
I’ve seen a few on here and really liked the look so I thought that I would take a swing at trying to throw it on.
i ended up cutting about .5 inches off of the scoop bottom so that I could lay the nose of it a little more flat. I am trying to be cautious to not add too much fiberglass to make the hood 18,000 pounds, leveling it will be interesting.
this car has turned out to be a really giant stress relief because it is obviously a junker, so there isn’t any real worry about ruining it. But at the same time, that freedom has allowed me to learn in greater strides.
