hi everyone, first post here and I’m looking for some guidance here. I am currently replacing the center trim on my 1994 c4 and have taken the snap ring and shifter **** off but the piece won’t seem to move, are there any parts that lock it into place? Thanks.

 

you need to remove all the screws that hold it in place

 

If I remember correctly the drivers dash also needs to come apart cause there screws behind drivers panel?

Here is one. This one shows a manual trans shifter, so you can ignore that part.
Once the shifter **** is off, the automatic and manual console removal is the same.

 

Be careful when you pull that piece out. It has plastic tabs in the front inserted in the vertical trim piece. They break off easily. Also, I think there is a screw in that area.
