headlight motor?
Thanks,
Jay
There are 3 bushings, made of plastic (i think its plastic) in each motor assembly. Very easy fix. It will take about two hours, however, its quite simple. Lemme see, I have a link somewhere... I'll post it in a sec.
I think that should work. I also found a link, doing a search one day for either head light bushings, or headlamp bushings, something to that effect, that produced a link, to a website, with pictures.
I do want to say (much to my regret, no pictures) that myself, and ourruby found a much easier, and quicker way to replace the bushings.
Here it is from memory.
Disconnect the plug, that powers the headlights.
There are 8 or 9 screws, that hold the headlight in. I'm talking the whole assembly. Once you remove it, the headlight, including the painted part, should remove from the hood. The base of the headlight motor, will be visable. There are three screws, that hold it into place. Remove them. One screw will be slightly restricted by a bracket. Just flex the bracket. At this point, you should beable to push down on the gear, and it will pop out, you replace the bushings (chances are, you have nothing but powder inside them, so get all the powder out too). The new bushings (bought mine from Zip products via the forum... 12 bucks for 3) will pop right in. Re-assemble.
I will see if I can find the link, that has the pictures and everthing. Email me (include your forum name, I have a bad memory when it comes to names) If you want pictures, of what I'm talking about. I can take pics of mine, and point out the screws I removed and what not.
Its an easy fix, really, and its a lot easier than the instructions I referenced above, and the ones on the website I'm trying to find. You can even ask ourruby, he'll agree (as he helped me on this operation)
Finally, here is the post, I originally went to, to get help with my problem, which sounds the same as yours!!!
