Any way to bench test a PKE module? I replaced mine with what I thought was a good used one but still did not work. Do not want to do it again unless I know the module is good. Thanks.
I believe PKE is a function of the CCM, which requires programming, AFAIK a tech1 with CCM cartridge is required. PKE diagnostics in FSM isn't very good.
1. Move all transmitters out of range. 2. Turn the ignition key on. 3. Push TRIP OD0 on the Driver Information Center twice. 4. Within five seconds, press and hold FUEL INFO until the PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY light comes on. 5. Turn the ignition off, but leave the key in the ignition. The PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY light should begin to flash to show the system is in programming mode. 6. Bring one transmitter into range. The light will stop flashing and stay on to show that the codeis stored. 7. Move the transmitter out of range. The light should start flashing again. 8. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 with each additional transmitter.
The programming mode will shut off if
-You don’t program any transmitters for two minutes.
-You take the key out of the ignition or turn the ignition on.

Talfryyn has a good question. How did you determine the new module was bad? Did you try programming and couldn't get a blinking light, or did you just expect the fob(s) to work? Did you check the fuses to make sure the PO didn't pull one to stop the bad module from acting up? Check the fob(s) batteries?
another tip, if you have chime, its a good indicator if your CCM can see your key if its in the ignition. if it cant see your key, i.e, no chime. you cant program it. it means you need a new key and ignition cyl
