Well you can kill three birds with one stone. Grab the build sheet, replace the leaking tank, and with the tank out you can probably have access to some serious cleaning👍.

Oh yeah it's getting a proper cleaning. I'll be replacing anything rubber I find. God damn FedEx really damaged the new tank. It was packaged terribly so I can only blame them so much. Couple of bends where the upper and lower sections of the tank are put together. Not sure if I should even bother with returning it for another.
You're very welcome. I can walk you through getting it out of there if you'd like. It's not rocket science, but I can offer up a couple of helpful tips. With some patience and luck, you'll end up with something that looks like this:
Well I finally got to it. Tank is getting dropped tomorrow. Build sheet seems to be in excellent condition.
So far so good. Everything came out ok, nothing broke. I'm hoping the reassembly goes just as well. I'm replacing all the bulbs and cleaning everything before putting the new tank in.

By removing the lens you're able to use the bulb as a grab handle, which makes it a lot easier to safely remove the housings once they're unbolted than if the lenses were still in place:

Never had an issue with this, and couldn’t imagine spending the extra time on that.

Can you remove the housings without removing the lenses first? Yep. Is it easier to remove the housings without scratching anything by removing the lenses first? Yep.

It took me maybe sixty seconds just now -- from lens in place, to lens removed, to lens back in place -- to grab the two pix I posted above. Your mileage may vary.

I've continuously owned and worked on C4s since summer of 1985. The 'round lights' don't have removable lenses, you access the bulbs and sockets from the rear. I do the inners through the license plate opening, and the outers by reaching up outboard of the mufflers from under the car. (Much more pleasant to do if the mufflers are cold.) I just continued changing the bulbs in my 90 LT5 and 92 the 'way I've always done it". From below.
A few months ago the 92 developed a turn signal that wouldn't blink, and it was the LH Outer bulb. I had returned from dinner, the mufflers were hot, but I was leaving early the next morning for a cars-n-coffee. In the morning, I remembered the bulb, and laid on my back and changed it out before I left.
I have never noticed the screws before. Now I know. Future bulb changes in the 'square lights' C4s will be easier. Thanks.
