My brother passed away and I am helping to sell his 96 coupe. It’s white with gray interior, 73,000 miles. I drove the car last weekend and it drives perfect. Tires were put on over 5 years ago but are like new. My brother had the seats redone along with the carpet. The inside is very nice and the paint is almost perfect. I want to move the car and I am looking for a fair price. I don’t have any pictures yet. The car is in Virginia Beach. Clean title.
I may be wrong but I think prices are up over the last few years for really prime low milage 1996 models withe perfect interiors, paint and mechanicals. I would shoot for more than 12k. Dan
I spent some time today with the car and the battery died on me, so it is getting a new interstate battery tomorrow. I am really impressed with the paint, it really shined up. I think it’s original paint. The car drives great, engine is strong and the trans shifts perfect. My sister in law tells me there are two tops but she doesn’t know where the other one is. Tires are new but have some age on them. I am going to drive the car some this week. I -ost some pictures latter.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Car should fetch between 10-12k depending on what type of service records it has. A fast sell will probably get you 9k.
At 9k someone would get the deal of the century. Dan
$9K for a C4 ZR1 would be the deal of the century. Not for a '96 non-LT4 auto with 73K miles. As a C4 owner myself, I WANT our C4's to be appreciate and fetch $$$, but current market and actual sales prices say otherwise.
$9K would be a pretty good deal, though (IMO), if the car is in the condition the OP says it's in. I agree with other posters - $10K-12K is about average, but it may take a while to sell, regardless - especially since we're heading into the winter months, and folks are starting to think of 'storage' or 'sell' - not buy (unless for a really good deal). These are the months that the bargain hunters start looking full steam. Enjoy the car if you can while it's for sale, OP. These are great cars.
Maybe, you'll decide to keep it. 73K miles is really not terribly low mileage - most investment-grade C4's are in the up to 30-35K miles range. So not much concern about devaluing by tacking on a few miles, and Fall offers some of the best weeks of the year to drive before putting it back into storage for the harsh winter regions.

I have two Vettes, 66 and an 07 Z06. I don’t have any experience with C4’s. My brother loved the car. I saw yesterday the car has a cold air intake, brake cooling hoses and LED tail lights. The car shows no sign of ever being wrecked and the motor is all stock. We are still working on getting the title in my sister in laws name. My brother had the carpet replaced and seat covers. Thanks for your input. BTW, there is another top but we haven’t found it. The top on the car is white.

I agree with your time of year comments. Probably worth waiting until Spring if you have the proper storage. On the other hand might be a guy out there that has a nice heated garage and thinks,"wow, I have all winter to go through this and be all set for Spring". Dan

I agree, I don't think it's all that low mile, being auto is going to hurt it's value, and while.its a 96 last year, that's not a huge selling point vs a 95 in an auto because you get a few one year only parts without the lt4 to make it more worthwhile.
This is probably going to be a driver quality car, and I think 9k is probably a pretty strong price for a car without 1st hand history of "I've been driving it on Fridays for the last 2-3 years". Maybe more like 8k might be expected with the backstory of it not being your personal vehicle and not having much experience or knowledge on it.
All that said, it might be more valuable as a secondary car or as a fond memento. I wouldn't rule out keeping it yet.
