Headlights Not Going Down Completely
86...headlights turn on fine, but when turning off one of them doesn't quite go down completely.
Is this just an adjustment issue or am I looking at replacing the gears?

The only adjustments are the bolts with rubber stops mounted on the headlight frame. On the early style 84-87 headlights the motor turns until it has too much resistance, this forces the armature forward or backwards opening the limit switches. Anything stopping the headlight from rotating will shut off the motor. A broken piece of tooth jamming the gears can do it.
