Default Security system - 1987 - engine swapped and first start

Hi guys, I put an 1985 fully remachined engine into my 1987 corvette, when I first try to crank it or try to turn it, nothing happens I think it has something to do with the security system on the car. When I plug-in the battery the security light blinks then when I hit my key that has a “prestige” key fob, the light goes away, I open the door. The battery and low coolant light are on, I assume that’s also important but my battery voltage is good right now. When I try to crank the car nothing happens and the brake light comes on right above the security light in red.

guide me, I’m lost!

Default Lights

The two things that pop up in the bottom right corner when I try to start the car. This is when I have the key fully turned and the time I took this photo I held the key turned

So where your saying to put that wire is where I put that green ground wire actually, and then the car wouldn't crank so we came to the conclusion that it must be something to do with the "starter interrupt relay" I think I may have fried it... Long story... but if what you'r saying is true then maybe thats why the car isn't starting, but then where does that green wire go, because that is the ground wire?

So if I move that wire over to that thread, then I can move the ground to the thread of the wire we just moved?

I'm pretty sure it is for the gauge sender.)

The outboard terminal on the solenoid will be left vacant. Nothing connected to it.
I think that the green wire is still a ground, the temperature sender is located on the opposite side right above the oil filter if I am not wrong, this is interesting, either way I have to find out what that green thing is now. Also, could I have possibly blown some fuses hooking it up the way I had it?

Tighten the main power cable and give it a try. From your picture, it is clearly loose.

I haven't ever heard of a temp sender on my corevette, could you possibly link a part from autozone or anywhere online? I tried looking up but temperature sensor keeps coming up.

I would certainly hope you are trying to be funny, right?

Drew,
There are 6 temperature sensors on the engine.
Driver side cylinder head is for the cooling fan
Passenger side cylinder head is for the dash gauge
Front of the intake manifold are two, one for the engine computer and one for the cold start solenoid
The one above the oil filter is for oil temp as stated earlier
The one on the bottom of the intake plenum is the air temp of the intake which the computer uses also
The best advice you will get on this site is to find a Factory Service Manual for your year of the car. Easily found on ebay. Not the crappy $20 ones either. A true GM FSM. Best of luck.

One more thing.
I noticed your battery light is on at the info center.
Suggest you recharge the battery or get a jump on the next attempt to start the engine.
