I'm interested to see if any third party key fob can be reprogrammed to work with the keyless entry system on a 94. I don't care if its passive keyless entry, although I think that would be a nice touch despite the opinions I have seen on it lol.
All the original ones for sale are grade A bullshit. 600 dollars? I get they're rare but what the hell. Either way, I don't have one. There are plenty of 15-30 dollar chevy key fobs on the internet, is it possible to get any to work?

Apparently someone is 3d printing a new housing for those that inevitably break, but they only made these for a handful of years and no one is making a replacement FOB... It seems most (including me) just give up on them and just use the keys.
My car came with two, and upon opening the first one, the tab immediately cracked off.
Their functionality has not been enough motivation for fixing my PKE head unit. I've had two FOBs for years, one used and one new. But I just use the keys.
One guy from NC modified a simple remote to pop the rear glass. That would be handy at the grocery store. Cheap and easy to set up.
About the coolest feature would be the nudge to open if you lock the keys in the car.
