How did you check for spark and how do you know it isn't a fuel problem?

I have 40 lb fuel pressure on the fuel rail check it with a gauge I'm basically I took an a good spark plug and plugged it into a wire and set a good ground on it and no spark same thing at the coil wire I am really befuddled on this one I am getting a pulse out of the Opti the coil ohm out to be shorted so I replaced that of course I already replaced the Opti and replaced the ignition control module and I still have no spark anywhere but I am getting a signal from the Opti I am completely lost I've owned three C4s over the past 20 years and this is the first one that has got me stumped

Just a little bit of history on the car somebody ran at 99,000 miles with the last oil service I have all the paperwork when I bought the car in 2006 and then someone put a brand new set of tires on it in 2007 and when I bought it it had $107,000 miles now it's had 114 and I've never had a bit of a problem out of it starting or running it's just been perfect it's a convertible I just put a new top on it with a stripping headliner and of course I put a brand new set of tires on it when I bought it and now it won't run

Default Maybe this?

I don't have any personal experience with this issue but the PO of my new to me '84 had a similar experience and it turned out that a fusible link was blown.
