Greetings, I recently purchased an 89 Base Corvette from an estate sale. Original owner - car is in immaculate condition with 123k miles on the clock.. It's been sitting for 3 years. Aside from bad gas in the tank, it has an aftermarket anti theft system . I think that I have disabled it. The motor turns over normally but no fire. Even with starting fluid. Also, excess fuel pooled into the air intake.
Q. Is the excess fuel pooling at the air intake just spillover from injectors as its not firing? \
Q. How can I check for ignition fire? I'm hoping it is not the alarm system .
Looking forward to getting her back on the streets .

If you have fuel in the in the intake plenum it is probably your fuel pressure regulator.
You can get a spark tester to check for spark or an extra plug that you can hook a plug wire to and ground the tip and turn it over.
To check if its the fuel pressure regulator , take the vacuum line off of it and see if there is fuel .

Good day, Thanks for the suggestions . I will try this over the week-end. Temps have warmed up a little here in Georgia .
