I wanted to make the c4 corvettes headlights roll the opposite way so they only have to rotate once and not all the way around like stock, anyone know how this may be possible?

They're already half way.
Shut the hood. They point right at the firewall.
Making them go the other way would not be less travel

Yeah I know they point towards the window, that's the point, so instead of making them spin in the direction of the window just make them spin the opposite way when you want them to come up, and back towards the window to go down, that way they dont need to completely spin and instead they only show those two positions, up and down.
that actually would be a cool but subtle trick. Not sure what it would take. Reversing the power/ground might make the motor turn the other way but the bump stops would have to be modified. This looks like a job for someone with time and money lol. Do post pics/vids if you follow it through.
PS winder if it might be worth purchasing a extra to experiment on before modifying OE.
They would still need to turn 180 degrees since the flat part is on the bottom of the light. I think what OP wants is to just pop up like a c5 or miata or myriad of othe cars. But you can't do that cause there is no finished flat part to match hood on top of light. When closed it wouldn't look very good cause headlight wouldn't fill void in hood.

Thats why i said make it go in reverse, it wouldnt be able to go up like the c5 or miata just like you said but it could go backwards and reduce the amount of times it has to turn, just a concept

Yeah I think ill get a spare headlight and see if i can make any renditions of it, I'll eventually post them here if I get around to doing that
Mayne i misunderstand your intent but wont they shine in the driver's eyes for a moment?
I guess if you had the older style three wire headlight motors you could use a relay so the bulb wouldn't be energized until the motor had finished moving the light.
For all that I think it would be better to make the C4 headlights work kinda like a Porsche 928. So the lights point straight up when off and when you turn them on they tip forward. I think that would look pretty neat on a C4 hood.
The factory configuration rotates less than 180°, so if you turned them the other way they'd have to rotate more than 180° to align properly. Doesn't sound like a time or distance saver to me.

they would still turn 180 degrees so no less. A C5 or miate pop up and only move like 45 degrees cause the flat hood fill panel is on top of headlight. On the c4 that is on the bottom.

So you did, although I read your post as stating 180°. I was just trying to clarify that they only turn around 165° as they are, so flipping them the other way not only potentially blinds the driver and pilots they's also have to turn 195° to align properly.
I don't really understand exactly what the OP's intention is, nor why anyone would alter what are arguably the coolest pop-up headlights ever.
