Those who have added a backup camera, where did you enter the body?
89 convertible, license plate mount camera, my hope is to go over the gas tank and drop down from there instead of going through where the tail/brake light wiring comes in. I know others have done this but out of all of the installs I have looked at, none really addressed this.
Going over the tank from the inside of the rear seems to be the most logical as it will keep the wiring out of the weather, for the most part.
I ran mine right along the passenger side sill with the OEM taillight wiring, then it excited through the OEM rear taillight wiring grommet in the passenger wheel well.

That may be the way I go, there appears to be a passthrough channel on each side on top of the tank but I have not probed it yet. The tail light loom doesn't look too bad to go through as long as I can seal it up good.
I ran mine under the gas filler under the weather striping and under the interior trim panel in the trunk then under the trim panels on the passenger side and through the dash into the radio

Mine is a convertible but I believe it is possible, I just did not have time to go probing today, perhaps tomorrow I will know.
