I’ve always wanted to get my hands on a dentists drill. Tiny little right angle drill with a short bit. I bet that would fit but unfortunately not an option lol.
Not great but better. I think I can live with this. Got to the tag from the inside using a brass brush from my gun cleaning kit of all things. Good ole 357 brush..lol
It's a big issue for some of us unfortunately. The vin tag in my 84 is pretty rusty and I've been looking for a good way to clean it without damaging the dash or the windshield. The brass brush from a gun cleaning kit seems like a viable option as I have several. I think it was a great idea and I'm definitely going to give it a try this weekend!

You probably will need to remove the dash pad. Here how i did it..and yes it roughed up the foam a little.
