Stalls when cold

I have an 89 automatic. Car starts and immediatly stalls. It will restart and will stay running if i keep my foot on the pedal. Have to keep my foot on it when its in gear. Runs rough til it warms up, then it will idle by itself. No codes and it had a new battery on monday.

My first instict was to say "It's a Chevrolet. Cold natured." But I think it might be the IAC. I have had that issue on mine before.

Do the 89s have the 9th injector? or does the ECM accommodate for cold starts a different way?

I dont think 89 has a 9th injector anymore. I will check the IAC tomorrow. Thanx. I will keep you informed.

I went out and checked wiring and vacuum hoses. All good. Thought i would try it. Fired right up and fast idled and regular idled perfectly. This car can try my parcinets. Thank you for your help. Bob
