Default Torch Red Paint code

Hello from C3 Land, Anybody here have the paint code to their 94-96 Torch Red c4? I wanted to paint my c3 that color and I think I already have the right code, but I just want to make sure since it is a big investment.

Thanks in advance,

RR

I just want to make sure and get the right code.

My guess is the 70 as well, but if you notice the 70 came out in several years. It started in 1982 and I don't think that was considered Torch Red.

I am just wondering if over the years the shades have changed or is it something new that they have added to the paints? I feel the 94-96 Vette possibly looks a little more orange than the 2017 Torch Red. Is there something that was changed in the process of painting the cars? Primer, clear coat, etc.? Look up a torch red 1994-96 and compare it to the 2017. Maybe I just need to get better glasses. LOL.

Thanks for that info. Now on that same note, what is considered a good paint/clear coat brand? I was thinking of going with PPG or should I get something different?

Is this a DIY paint job or a 'for hire'? If it's a 'For Hire' let the painter choose his product. Much has changed in the past several years.

Nope, definitely not me. Just want to be informed about paint when I take it to the painter.

I think it’s a great idea to paint your C3 torch red. It’s a deep enough red to not be too orange, and in bright sunlight it looks almost neon. I guess hence the name torch red. I think it will look awesome with the C3’s body lines and really accentuate the features.

I hope so too. Thinking of giving it some black accents as well like the newer c7.
