Front spring shims?

Hi guys, I’m doing the lowering wedges on the front of my car. I also cut half of the outer rubber pads that sit in the lower a arm. I noticed there are two shims that the spring is mounted to the body with. Is it fine to remove those to lower it more or is that not a good idea?

remove the shims, seems to me factory used it as a height adjustment, no other purpose imho
