92 vette convertable top replacement
Hello all, my 92 vette is in dire need of a top replacement, as the ancient vinyl window is both so oxidized you cant see through it, has cracked in multiple places, and the stitching itself is starting to come apart. Has anyone done it themselves, and if so, would you do it again? What was the worse part? Any parts to watch out for? If it really isn't a DIY job, does anyone have any shop recommendations near Syracuse NY to have it done at? Also, where do people currently recommend buying the new top from? I saw Al Knocks mentioned a ton.

I DIYed my 88. It isnt difficult but isnt easy. Mine was glued in. I went cheap on that and had to do it again. I dont know if theres a diff for your year. It maybe stapled in?????
mine isnt pro level perfect but since i know the installer he charged me nothing. Overall im happy w it and i learned how to.

Your best bet ask a local Corvette Club in your area for recommendations or checkout your local Chevrolet dealership who do they use for upholstery cause it's not done my there tech at the dealership.
