Stalling Issue
I have a 1987 Corvette, automatic, 57,000 miles. Recently, I’ve been daily driving it since my daily was totaled. Here’s what I’m dealing with…
Usually once a week, if i’m giving the car some throttle, it’ll cut power until i release the gas and then press it again. I’ll then get a service engine light and then the car would run weird. this usually resets after i shut the car down for a while then it goes back to normal until the next random occurrence. haven’t read the code yet but it bet it’s 32 or 34.
today, i was at a traffic light stopped, when it turned green, i let off the brake and the car stalled leaving me to put it in park and start it back up.
what i’ve replace in the last two years:
Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, IAC valve, EGR valve, cleaned the TB and repaired two vacuum lines, (checked those for leaks)
I thinking at this point it’s either the fuel pump or injectors but I’m a self taught “mechanic” so any pro advice would be helpful. i was going to use an injector cleaner treatment and clean the MAF to see if that makes it better as well.
let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!
