I've just hade mine fixed. Took it to the shop cost me 1 hour labor plus $5.00 for the part. Finally have control of the headlights. It was really annoying having the lights flipping on and off all the time
Hi Mike
I did this a couple of years ago and going from memory..... you have to pull the little circular flat plastic piece on the dash directly in front of the steering wheel until it comes free from the dash. Not easy without marking the dash cover. When you get this out, you should immediately tie a thread or string to the wires holding the receptor.(in case you let go... just imagine trying to retrieve that wire set through that little hole..) Twist to remove the 'eye' and install a 1.5k ohm resistor between the two wires. Replace the 'eye' into the receptor. Then remove the string or thread, and replace the eye unit into the dash by pushing until it is flush.
I had the same problem .... the lights would come up after I had gone into shadows or shade and it looked kinda funny at noon on a bright sunny day!
