Default 93 a/c issues

Recently I have been experiencing issues with my a/c. My compressor does not come on. I did the diagnostics on the a/c control panel and it shows a code 9, “low refrigerant”. Anyways long story short I saw on another post to disconnect the positive and negative calves and touch them together for 15 minutes and then reconnect. This procedure resets/reprograms the control panel. Lo and behold I did that and the compressor started working again, blowing cold air. I checked the refrigerant and it was in “full” range. This worked about a week, turned the ac yesterday and the light was flashing again and the compressor was not working. So I did the battery cable disconnect, reconnected it and the compressor comes on again.

so my question is, why is the is happening, ???

I need to go grab my FSM, but I believe a clogged orifice tube will trigger the 09 code because the system can't regulate the pressure correctly on each side. I can check.
