It takes me a couple of tries to start my 1994 corvette with me replacing the starter and spark plugs and wires which seems to me might be the optispark. Anyone got any suggestions?

It's more than likely your opti but go backwards. First plugs and wires. Make sure they're gapped properly and the wires are all plugged in right they need to click twice on the plug and opti. Then check/replace the ignition control module. Then the ignition coil. And if none of that works then do the opti swap. Put a new water pump and gaskets in as well while you're at it. After that you should be set. I just did a swap to a full msd ignition and it's fantastic

Yea it's a major PITA I just did headers so I feel you. It's more than likely the opti but better to work your way back and maybe get lucky with it just being a bad ICM. Worst case you replace everything and ride with peace of mind. I highly recommend the msd ignition kit it's truly kick-a** worth the grand or so and weekend installing it but it's a forever ignition you shouldn't ever need to replace or upgrade
