I have a chance to buy a 1987 copper convertible, is it worth it just for the color to pay a premium?
nice looking car, is it really worth 10k with 80k miles? That color is tempting….
GM only produced 87 Copper Metallic cars in 1987 out of a total production of 30,632. That certainly qualifies as rare! If the paint is original and in good condition and the car is clean and needs little, $10,000 is not out of line. Once you get it home, please post lots of photos.
For 94 they had a big run on Copper Metallic, 116 sold! GM discontinued the color because of problems matching the color on the different panels. Too bad, it is a striking color.
It was darker in 1987, I think a better looking color than the 1994 ones to be honest. But they are both nice. Only a purist is going to notice the difference / rareness
Was this car, by chance, sitting on the side of Rt 130 or 206 near bordentown? I saw what I thought was an 87 copper metallic with a tan top out for sale going to a soccer tournament in hammonton and man was it beautiful
