antenna Swap?

Pulled the old antenna out of my dad's 87 it is pretty much scrap. My question is to those that have swapped to a non power antenna, how have you addressed the cable being male? Is there some kind of adapter that will hook the male end on an aftermarket antenna to the male end of the original cable?

Maybe this is what you want? I'm not sure as I have no experience with the antenna on my '84. I just googled this because I was curious.

Thanks, but that one is male on both ends, and this would take a female connection on both ends

I had seen this video. I’m not sure if it will lead to the right answers. It specifically mentions 93-96. But maybe you can ask the vendor?
