Default Complimented by a RICER

was a 1st for me. :)

got to 46 degrees today, so went for a ride, and stopped by the carwash on the way home.

I was in line at a booth with a new Nissan Z next to me. He was the kind that liked to rev, and "hop" his way around the car wash...kinda funny :lolg:

Anyay, there was a Ricer type on the other side of the Z, (triple wing, big mouth facia and such). He walks AROUND the Nissan "Z" and says "nice ride man"

I think the Z guy was pizzed :lolg:

Of course, the Z guy pulled out of the carwash while I was drying mine, and did the "rev, hop" thing. Trying to impress I guess....

:lolg:

Sweet, I get compliments from ricers all the time. A lot of my friends have imports, after talking to a lot of people that own imports, most the of the time when they are revving their engine its just to see your car go. But their are still a lot of idiots that think stickers=HP.

About midnight one Friday night I was stopping for gas on the way home from a softball game when I pulled into the stall beside a completely riced-out Honda with thirty day tags & full of teenage guys. The passenger looked over & said "Wow!", then looked at the driver & said "Now that's a car!" The driver then asked me "what's it got? A five speed?". The passenger says "it's a six speed, idiot!". I think alot ricers appreciate our Vettes.

BTW Phil, how did you lower your car? Did you completely remove any pads/shims in the middle of the front spring? Did you remove any of the pads at the ends of the spring? Your car looks great at that hight!

David

David

Thanks for the compliment. Actually I had it done by a corvette shop. I think the rubber pads were completely removed from the ends of the spring, but the middle was left as is.

My problem with the Ricer thing.... ......................
I think that makes me an HONORARY RICER now :cuss

yep it takes neon and a wing to make hp. everyone knows that. that guy probably got a good laugh at the ricer with all the crap stuck to it. it probably looked cool to the ricer though.

Phil,
Funny you should bring up the 350Z thing. Just on my way to work today I saw one and he did his darndest to catch up and try to play with the GS all the way into work. I normally just cruise with the flow of traffic. He was driving like a wild man trying to keep up cutting in and out of traffic. Not sure who he was trying to impress but it wasn't me and I don't think it was that State Trooper he was explaining things to either.
