(Help) Coolant hose exploded, which part?
My rpm’s were high and sluggish acceleration (just saw an oil leak earlier that day) so I was going to the auto store to top off oil, then it started smoking and exploded, coolant leaked everywhere. Thankfully a nice police officer and a family helped me push it to the gas station.
I'm wondering which replacement hose I’ll need if anyone has specifications.
Would this work or should I get just a hose? Is it a hard
repair?

That plastic that failed is a "Flush" fitting that was inserted in the hose. Use "radiator flush kit t fitting" for a search. There are a gillion hits.
EDIT; I looked again, and I can't tell which diameter hose that is. There is a 5/8" and 3/4". You can compare the two hoses that are side by side, the larger diameter is the 3/4". (Duh.)
A quick fix would be go to the home depot or hardware store and obtain a 3 or 4 inch long pipe nipple. The O.D. of 3/8 pipe is 5/8", the O.D. of 1/2" pipe is 3/4". Get the size nipple that works with the hose diameter that needs repair. Loosen the clamps, remove the broken plastic, and insert the nipple equally into each hose. Tighten the clamps. The repair will probably last indefinitely, or at least as long as the hose does.

The hose is a bit trickier. Depending on options, one of two possible hoses is needed. Easyiest way to determine which configuration you need is to follow the hose to the water pump. Depending on whether their is a second tee connection in the line or not, will determine which hose you need.
I had one of the big hoses spring a pinhole leak oneday on the way to work. Managed to tape it up and get home. At that point I changed out every hose, seeing how they were over 25 years old.

Took this pic documenting a new EGR valve. the gray **** at the bottom is the cap of the flush fill tee.

I got the car 4 weeks ago and was doing stuff as I go (flushed brakes, got valve cover gasket (leaking), and fuel pump)
After fixing the leak, seems like I had another issue happen on top of each other? In D and overdrive it revs but doesn’t accelerate, it’ll give it a little bit of a jolt then just revs. 2nd gear actually accelerates but it drove very rough, whenever I gave it less gas it felt like it wanted to quickly slow down? not sure how to explain it. Oil temps ended up sitting at 265 on the highway and coolant hit 240. Is my trans crapped on? Or what else can it be?
Also when changing gears you can feel the trans (car shakes?) again don’t know the terminology but changing gears jolts the car
trans fluid seems way overfilled as well
