Default Where does this connect to!?

Help please! I have a 1990 C4 and did some work on it recently and I cannot find The female part of the blue edged connector in this picture. I have it pulled to the passenger side of the car, but it may go over to the driver side… Seems like it starts underneath the distributor. Does anyone know where the other part of this connection is and what it does? Thank you!

What are the wire colors? Do you have the FSM(Factory/Field Service Manual)?

If TAN & BLK likely the MAT Sensor

**** Back in 2003 someone had this comment: The MAT screws into the bottom-side of the plenum, about 2/3 of the way back, just above the EGR valve. It can be a B-I-T-C-H to get at.

I agree. That wire should be going under the driver's side of the distributor, then under the air intake plenum between the tubes, then connecting to the sensor underneath the main plenum.

Very welcome. I suggest, also, that you get an EGR heat shield around that EGR pipe which runs over the passenger side valve cover. That thing gets hot as hell, could cook some of the stuff nearby without any wrap on it. - https://www.zip-corvette.com/89-91-e...at-shield.html

Default My response…

I will put a heat shield on that pipe – the old one literally disintegrated when I was working on the car. I did find yet ANOTHER connector that I don’t know where its partner is. This one is on a sleeve of wires underneath the brake fluid on the driver side. Any idea about this one on the red wire in the picture below?

Do you have the FSM(Factory/Field Service Manual)? I asked a few days ago and if you don't you need! Sort some of these questions your self.

The single connector red wire is the Fuel Pump Test connector. If you apply +12V to it, the fuel pump runs. Details are in the electrical Section 8 of the Factory Service Manual that WVZR can assist you with obtaining.
