Default Throttle Position Sensor Mounting Hardware. 1984

Hello,

I'm looking for replacement mounting bolts for my 84's TPS. I accidentally snapped one of the bolts off while trying to adjust the voltage on the TPS, and I can't find replacements anywhere. From what I've found, the bolts are a very strange size being M4.5x0.75 and ~30mm long. I also think they are aluminum (which explains why it snapped). I'm not seeing any for sale anywhere. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

You could try Mirrock Corvette parts, or throw an ad up in the parts wanted forum. I'm guessing there are a few members who have switched to carbs and have the removed parts lying around.

Have you actually measured the thread pitch?

I bet I could find one, my boss was a GM tech in the 80s & 90s. He has an old tool box with lots of old GM hardware in it.

I measured and calculated a pitch of ~0.72. I tried an M4x0.70 but no luck. I'm getting the M4.5x0.75 from another forum post saying that was the required pitch

I don't mean "calculate", I mean *measure* the thread pitch, with a gauge?

I unfortunately don't have a gauge, you're right though. It probably would be a good investment.

I'm sure I have one around here somewhere, let me look. No, they are not aluminum screws, crazy that you snapped it though. I'm in Gilbert AZ BTW.
