Not for 6 months but what if situations change and it ends up sitting longer? Then it would be a good idea. It’s not too expensive so I toss it in for the “just in case”
agree not necessary but if it feels better then add it. I had a 66 vett sit for a year and a half in my NJ non heated garage, started right up ran great. It was a half tank full perfect recipe for condensation build up and still, BP premium 10%eth gas was fine. A million cars sat in lots long term, no way they get additive right, don't worry about it
I usually dump sea foam in mine at the last fill up before storage. It’s a stabilizer and fuel system cleaner. Getting the tank completely full to reduce condensation and separation with the ethanol fuel helps too. Or at least I’ve bought into that theory and I haven’t had a problem after storage. My car sits in the garage for a full 6 months from roughly October to at least March or April. Lots of salt here in those months.
