I am sure all of you that have done the headlight motor rebuild has seen this. What I discovered today is that a lot of the bolts are those triangular form, self tapping ones. I had to use a pick to clean out the threads as well as a wire brush. When I do the passenger side (in a day or 2) I am going to look into replacing them with standard ones. I will post the size as an addition to this post.
I also have in the past discovered that the bolts that hold the batwing cover to the differential are the same. I will be replacing those also as the advantage of the triangular form (besides being self tapping) is no longer as effective as first time use.
You can feel the form if you spin the screws/bolts between your fingertips, however, I also have a set of tri-mics that measure roundness and I measured the batwing bolts a while ago to answer a question an esteemed member asked about the size.
