I read a post that helped a person trouble shoot a no brake light. I have the same problem I replaced the brake switch and when the brake is pressed there is power to the white wire on the switch which I read that it is not suppose to have power when the brake is pressed. All the blinkers work and the hazards work and the tail lights work just not brake light. I saw that it said it was a bad blinker switch. Somewhere in the thread I read that it sends out the signal to the brake lights, is this correct and does it sound like the switch is bad on mine. This post was from 2019 where is saw the thread. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Reason: more info
Just an update, I did read a post about the brake lights running through the blinker switch assembly, I replaced the blinker switch in the column, not fun running the connection to the bottom of the steering column , however it did solve my problem. So just as a general FYI the brake lights do run through the blinker switch assembly. If you order a switch make sure it is the one for your car. They have with tilt, telescopic, and side marker lights. You really have to read the fine print to find out if the one you are ordering has this function, or they will not work. Hope this heips.
