Some friends and I are building an 84 Z51 into a caged race car for amateur endurance racing (Lucky Dog Racing to be specific). We are getting to the point where we need to order the Cerakote for the wheels soon. So, what color should the car be? I drew some images to show our current favorites.
I drew the body kit we hope to make for phase 2 of the build (phase 2 comes after doing the first race). It shortens the front end and adds some flares. I took some measurements, but have not done a full scan yet. It "should" work... Anyway, let me know what you think of that too.

Maybe it's just the rendering, reminds me of a Miata or early 90s Nissan Z
As to the color, will it be plastered with sponsorship logos and stickers to the point you can't see the underlying paint, or will it be racing as all solid color with just a shoe polish number on the glass?

If you plan to endurance race, paint your car a bright color.
I offer this from experience with my youngest son's LeMons car.
You want to be able to spot it quickly on the track.
Wheel color? Not important.
Personally, I'd go with teal and non-painted wheels.
The teal because you'll probably be the only car in that color.
The non-painted wheels so it will be easier to spot cracks.
BTW, I wouldn't put too much time, effort, or money on the body kit. You'll need every bit of those resources to keep up with the mechanicals.
