Yes indeed, here is that exact tire on my 96 with Z51, and might I say they are excellent tires at that!

The base '95 has 8.5" fronts and 9.5" rears. The Z51 ( and I think '95 has another option too) has 9.5" all around.

The 275/40/17 tires are not suggested for 8.5" rims. They fit well on 9.5".

Although yours is a '95, it is hard to tell, but it appears to have the '91-'92 wheels that have been chromed. You can tell by a flat on the vane on the '93-'96 wheels.

If it is the '91-'92 wheels, they only came in 9.5" and you will be fine.

Another option if they are 8.5" fronts is to buy a pair of 9.5" and then mount 275/40/17 or 285/40/17 tires all around. That is what I did on my '95. Although if yours are chromed, it would need a new set of wheels to match.

Good luck.

QC, On my 96 which had 285/40R17 on the rears can I replace with the 275/40R17? Thanks, Dan in the QC
Edit: the 275, from the tire size calculator, is .3" smaller diameter, .4" smaller width, and .2" smaller sidewall.

Yes. I currently have 275/40/17 on both my '95 and '96.

The rim size for the 285/40/17 is 9.5" which was used from '88 through '96 with 275/40/17 tires (with certain options), so the fit is fine.

The difference in speedometer readings is very small. (about 1% which means 0.6 mph difference at 60mph.)

If you want to keep the relative sizes from front to rear the same, you can get a 245/45/17 front tire which will match the height of the 275/40/17's. Although I have run 275's rear and 255 fronts with out noticing any differences.

Good luck.
