Are the base model seats in a '90 swappable left to right? The drivers seat has some pretty serious bolster wear from previous owners getting in and out. I'd like to swap the passenger seat over to the driver's side if that's doable.

If the seats are "Sports Seats" which have the buttons and switches on the bolsters, the seat bases have two sets of bolt holes and can be swapped side to side. The 'other' set of holes will be used on the other side.
If the seats are manual reclining there is a lever for the recline on the outboard front corner of the seat base and are specific left and right. The seat bases have only one set of bolt holes drilled. Swapping the base upholstery and foam is easy. But for the seat backs, you have to remove the upholstery and foam and reinstall on the other side. << If you don't know how to do this, or even if you do know how, it can be fussy. There may be youtubes showing how to disengage the clips (4 of them) on the seat backs.
Don't swap the entire seat...just the cushions. They are held in place with wire clips that must be unhooked. I switch the cushions every couple of years to even out the seat wear. I found that just placing them in the seat frame holds them in place which allows easy alternating side to side.
This applys to base seat assemblys....don't know about sport seats.

Yes, I already planned on that. Research seems to indicate that while the bottom cushion is easy to swap out, getting the seat back unhooked...and more importantly, rehooked...can be a pain.
I'll probably try it one day when A) it's a LOT warmer than it is right now, and B) my patience level is higher than normal.
yes the base cushions are swappable.
rehooking the upper is no problem.. just lean into it and muscle it in, one shot and done. the bracket is embedded around in the foam and is the only resistance, not going to break anything.
