Patching leather seat
Just picked up a 93 with black leather interior. The drivers seat has a couple tears/splits. Any recommendations on repairability.

I would ask upholstery shop, they're the experts?
I know when I owned my C4 I replaced the seats, bought from Big Al, others also use Al.

Are the splits on the seams or is the leather torn? Is the leather stuff and has it shrunken at all?

Pictures would help. Splits are a bit harder to fix as a diy. I dunno if ridies is still around but I used them for custom covers, very reasonable prices too, and better quality than OEM.

Not on the seams. Not shrunk either. Seems pliable. I'll try to get pics later today as the car is put away for the winter and it's about 2 above zero here

I don't know if this will help you, but I went pretty deep on my black leather seat repair at the link below. They now call me Jacques Cousteau I went so deep. Salute.

I don't know what years this works for but on my 1996 I was able to switch the seats. This allowed my repaired drivers bolster to move to the left side of the passenger seat. Dan
